IDOM has carried out the technical consulting work contracted by the Colombian National Development Finance (FDN) for the technical prefeasibility and elaboration of the advanced basic technical studies for the urban renewal and real estate project of the Tequendama International Center (CIT) in the heart of Bogotá.

Urban and real estate renewal in the heart of Bogota

The complex consists of four buildings constructed between the 1950s and 1980s, and their corresponding public spaces. Their heights vary between 10 and 33 stories, in addition to their parking basements. As for the current uses of the buildings, they combine retail and services with offices and residential apartment hotels.

The tasks developed by IDOM, in a period of 6 months, ranged from the analysis of the state at that time, from the architectural and structural point of view and its facilities, to the presentation of proposals that would condition and adapt the buildings both to seismic regulations and to all regulations relating to facilities. All this without losing sight of the heritage character of the buildings that make up the complex.
