Umm Al Quwain seawater desalination plant – 682,000 m³/day

ACWA Power has contracted the consortium formed by SIDEM y CGGC -China Gezhouba Group Co.Ltd- to build the Umm Al Quwain desalinated seawater production plant. The project is located in the coastal area of the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain.
The plant is composed of the following main installations:
- Open intake of seawater.
- Seawater pumping station.
- Pretreatment with DAF and DMGF (3 units).
- Reverse osmosis (3 units).
- Post-treatment
- Emissary of brine.
- Wastewater treatment plant.
- Drinking water storage tanks.
ZEPDI -ZheJiang Electric Power Design Institute Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of CGGC- has engaged IDOM to develop the detailed engineering for the civil works of the buildings and process structures, and the underground networks.
